SKILL TRACK

Dribbling & feints

DRIBBLING

Double Touch

A close-control feint that invites the defender one way and moves the ball past them the other way. The player’s Double Touch skill can affect execution.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Select Advanced Feint and check the player skill and direction settings.
  2. Slow near the defender; use the right stick to initiate the lateral feint and the left stick for the exit.
  3. Accelerate only if a lane opens; practise five repetitions in each direction.
Input by platform

Advanced Feint: right stick sideways → left stick toward the exit.

Practice goal

Repeat the action ten times, first without pressure and then against a defender. Track when the move actually helped you keep possession or create a chance.

DRIBBLING

Marseille Turn

A spinning move to roll away from pressure. Without a clear exit lane, it can lead to an easy turnover.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Receive the ball and assess the defender’s approach.
  2. With Advanced Feint, initiate toward the attack using the right stick, then steer diagonally with the left stick.
  3. Identify free space as you complete the spin; rehearse in midfield and wide areas.
Input by platform

Advanced Feint: right stick forward + left stick diagonal relative to attacking direction.

Practice goal

Repeat the action ten times, first without pressure and then against a defender. Track when the move actually helped you keep possession or create a chance.

DRIBBLING

Sombrero

A timing-sensitive flick applied while receiving a ball to lift it over or around pressure; not suitable for every reception.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Read the incoming ball trajectory early.
  2. Time the Sombrero command at reception and confirm the relevant player-skill requirement.
  3. Do not use it just for show when no defender is near; track the second ball.
Input by platform

Check in-game Advanced Feint/Sombrero binding and skill prerequisite.

Practice goal

Repeat the action ten times, first without pressure and then against a defender. Track when the move actually helped you keep possession or create a chance.

DRIBBLING

Chop Turn

A cutting turn that interrupts a straight run and opens a diagonal lane. Player skills and approach angle may affect the animation.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Ease off before the defender blocks your lane.
  2. Check the player’s Chop Turn/Cut Behind & Turn skill and the move in Command List.
  3. Bring the ball onto the safer foot and choose a pass or second acceleration.
Input by platform

Skill-specific feint: verify your exact right/left-stick mapping in Command List.

Practice goal

Repeat the action ten times, first without pressure and then against a defender. Track when the move actually helped you keep possession or create a chance.

DRIBBLING

Heel Trick

Heel-based touches can change the passing or ball-control animation under pressure; exact activation depends on player skills and context.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Select a player with the skill and observe their body angle.
  2. Set up a short passing option behind or beside them.
  3. Compare against a regular pass; the special animation is not guaranteed.

  2. Set the exit direction with the left stick immediately after the feint.
  3. Practise first against a static defender, then a moving one.
Input by platform

Advanced Feint: rotate right stick across sides → immediately steer left stick.

Practice goal

Repeat the action ten times, first without pressure and then against a defender. Track when the move actually helped you keep possession or create a chance.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Pick a player with Flip Flap.

A step-over that delays the defender’s reaction before you choose the exit lane.

How to perform it · step by step

  1. Approach the defender’s reach rather than starting too far away.
